for Climate Justice

Workers for Climate Justice (WCJ) is an organization of workers and local unions mobilized around climate justice issues. We believe that the labour movement is uniquely positioned to develop the power required to build a regenerative and just economy.

We have over 3,500 members from a range of sectors, including education, healthcare, aeronautics and construction.

The following unions are official members of WCJ:

SEECM – Syndicat des Enseignants et Enseignantes du Cégep Montmorency (FNEEQ-CSN)
SECAL – Syndicat de l’Enseignement du Cégep André-Laurendeau (FNEEQ-CSN)
SPECS – Syndicat du Personnel Enseignant du Cégep de Sherbrooke (FNEEQ-CSN)
SPCSL – Syndicat des Professeur-es du Cégep de Saint-Laurent (FNEEQ-CSN)
DTU – Dawson Teacher’s Union (FNEEQ-CSN)

We demand that the federal and provincial governments:

Get off of fossil fuels by 2030, in terms of production as well as consumption.

A massive taxation of wealth and a massive reinvestment in public services and social programs, to ensure decent living conditions for all.
