The so-called \u201cnatural\u201d gas used to heat workplaces accounts for 5.5% of Quebec\u2019s total emissions\u2014that\u2019s equivalent to 1.6 million cars. Completely getting off gas is essential to achieving carbon neutrality, but it needs to be planned well in advance: necessary renovations must be scheduled properly, and above all, we must never replace equipment that\u2019s reaching the end of its lifespan. Make sure your union is aware of this and can start putting pressure on the employer right now to make these changes happen without delay.<\/p>\n
