for Climate Justice

Workers for Climate Justice (WCJ) is an activist collective aiming to organize local unions around climate justice issues.

The initiative was launched by La Planète s’invite au Parlement (LPSP) in the fall of 2021, but the collective is completely autonomous, as much from the LPSP as from any labor union. WCJ operates on an entirely voluntary basis.

We demand that the federal and provincial governments:

Ban fossil fuels, including their production, processing, export and import.

Legislate massive wealth taxes and reinvest those monies in public services and social programs to ensure decent living conditions for all.
