Purpose

We are an independent organization bringing together both unionized and non-unionized workers, as well as local unions affiliated with several major labor federations.

We aspire to build the collective power of workers so that defending working conditions also means defending our ecosystems and the environment in which we live.

Join us

Let’s transform our workplaces together, reinvent our economic models, and strengthen our collective power.

Every day of inaction multiplies tomorrow’s patients and intensifies the strain on our already fragile system. We face a twofold emergency: curtail today’s carnage and ready our social and healthcare services to withstand the chaos ahead.

Because they directly affect workers’ health and safety, as well as social justice, environmental issues must be tackled through union action. At FNEEQ, we believe that education is a powerful driver of change to meet these challenges. Faced with the climate emergency, collective action is indispensable. The collaboration between FNEEQ and WCJ is a unique opportunity for us to rethink our role and responsibilities as we strive for a just ecological transition.

Gabrielle Scott, Unifor Local 62 (Bombardier Unit, FTQ)

We needed to find a way to speak an environmental union language, and WCJ helped us do it. Together, we created a space for our workers to advance our ideas, aiming to become carbon neutral while protecting our jobs.
